Dr. Ramesh Kumar Jain, IAS (Retd), has been a valued member of the Board of Advisors at Drishti Foundation Trust since its inception. Born on December 12, 1952, Mr. Jain holds an impressive academic background with a Master of Science in Physics from BITS Pilani, an LL.B. from the University of Rajasthan, and an MBA from IGNOU, Delhi. His extensive training at prestigious institutions such as the LBS National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and the Tata Management and Training Centre in Pune, further highlights his expertise in administration and governance. Throughout his distinguished career in the Indian Administrative Service, Mr. Jain held pivotal positions, including Divisional Commissioner of Jodhpur, District Magistrate of Baran and Bundi, Director of Elementary Education in Rajasthan, and Secretary of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. Since his retirement in December 2012, he continues to serve as an advocate at the Rajasthan High Court. His experience across sectors such as Rural Development, Education, Finance, and Healthcare has been instrumental in guiding Drishti Foundation’s mission to create a lasting impact.

Dr. Tavishi Tewary, widely respected as Prof. Tavishi, is a distinguished academic and development practitioner with a Ph.D. in Economics and over 15 years of extensive experience across sustainability, public policy, and global development frameworks. As a Member of the Board of Advisors of Drishti Foundation Trust, she brings exceptional intellectual depth and a forward-looking vision aligned with the organization’s mission.

Her core expertise lies in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), renewable energy transitions, climate resilience, and low-carbon development pathways. Dr. Tewary has worked across diverse socio-economic landscapes, contributing to research, program design, and policy interventions that promote environmental stewardship and climate-smart growth. Her insights into climate risk, mitigation strategies, and adaptive practices significantly strengthen Drishti Foundation Trust’s initiatives in environment protection, water conservation, and ecological restoration.

In addition to her environmental expertise, Dr. Tewary’s strong academic grounding in international economics, fiscal policy, and development governance enables her to translate complex economic issues into accessible knowledge. Her guidance is invaluable for developing community-focused programs on financial literacy, social welfare schemes, and economic empowerment, ensuring that even the most marginalized populations gain clarity on government benefits and economic opportunities.

With her holistic understanding of sustainability and inclusive development, Dr. Tavi Tewary plays a pivotal role in shaping the Foundation’s strategic direction. Her contributions inspire evidence-based action, strengthen program impact, and empower communities to move toward a more informed, self-reliant, and climate-conscious future.

Dr. Vranda Jain, an Economics faculty at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida, brings over 15 years of academic and government experience. As a member of the STEP Incubator Seed Management Committee, she can guide entrepreneurship programs Dr. Jain’s involvement ensures that DFTs programming is research-backed, policy-relevant, and geared towards sustainable, inclusive development, empowering your community with knowledge for economic resilience and growth as a Member of Board of Advisors of Drishti Foundation Trust.

Dr. Ashish Gupta, currently working as Senior Associate Professor, Faculty of Management at South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, India (An International University established by 08 SAARC Nations and supported by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India). Previously he worked with IIFT New Delhi. He brings academic rigor and a global perspective. His insights on consumer behaviour will help listeners understand advertising tactics and protect their rights, crucial in vulnerable rural markets. His knowledge of international marketing can guide local artisans and farmers towards export opportunities, while his service marketing expertise can improve customer service in local businesses and government offices. Dr. Gupta’s involvement will make a platform for economic literacy, consumer empowerment, and business growth as a Member of Board of Advisors of Drishti Foundation Trust.

Dr. Shinu Vig, an Associate Professor with an impressive array of qualifications – Ph.D., Company Secretary (CS), L.L.B., M.Com, and UGC-NET – brings legal and corporate expertise as a Member of Board of Advisors of Drishti Foundation Trust. Her research interests in Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Business Sustainability are highly relevant for our community’s economic and environmental well-being.

Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar, a Fellow from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai, with an MBA and CFA, brings a wealth of financial expertise as a Member of Board of Advisors of Drishti Foundation Trust. His understanding of market microstructures and government regulations is crucial. He can simplify complex market mechanisms and regulatory changes, helping small businesses and local investors navigate financial markets effectively. As a coordinator for the Centre for Small Micro Enterprises, his advice on capacity building can empower local entrepreneurs.
